Our Trainer Rebecca
My name is Rebecca and for as long as I can
remember, I have always had dogs in my life and have enjoyed the warmth and
companionship you get from owning a balanced and happy dog.
I have always wanted to work with animals, and
helping people to achieve the same pleasure of owning a dog that I feel is a
dream career for me.
I have been studying Dog Behaviour since professionally since 2007 and I am fully qualified to FdSc level in Canine Behaviour and
Training. I only use positive reinforcement methods which help to maintain
a loving and trusting relationship between you and your pet.
I am also qualified in Canine First Aid and am fully insured.
You can be sure your dog is in safe hands!
Our Dog Walker Matt
Matt joined Take My Lead in 2013 after becoming fed up with working in an office!
Originally from Nottingham (and still a Forest fan) and having spent the last 25 years 'down south' Matt has been living in Bolton for the last 3 years.
Having been a dog owner all of his life he has relished the experience of working with so many different breeds of dogs (as well as the opportunity to work out doors!)
Matt has an Advanced CRB clearance as he previously worked in higher education.
He is fully insured, has qualified in Canine First Aid and is currently studying canine behaviour with the view to becoming a qualified trainer in the future.
Lucy - (on the right) - is 10 years old now. We've had her since she was about a year old when she was found as a stray and taken to rescue.
It was very clear she had trust issues with people and dogs she didn't know.
It's been a long journey for Lucy to overcome. However, with a little help from us and her little brother Charlie she's become very affectionate and playful. (Even though she bosses Charlie about!)
She loves her bed and her food! (Like her mum!)
She also enjoys singing to various music including Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Kings of Leon!
Charile - (on the left) - is 8 years old and was a rescue. He came over from Ireland at 2.5 years old and found his way to us.
He had his issues with traffic and recall but he's overcome this really well.
He is very sweet, cuddly and loves a tennis ball!
He also likes to sit on your knee - he doesn't realise he's not a puppy anymore!
